NSF-TEKES CVDI Helsinki Leadership Seminar

Monday 22nd May 2017, 13.00-16.00

Scandic Grand Marina Hotel, Katajanokanlaituri 7, 00160 Helsinki

The purpose of the Seminar is to foster the transatlantic collaboration between Finland and USA and gather relevant stake holders around a common vision and a long-term commitment to sustain the win-win collaboration between academia and industry in both countries.

Finland joined the National Science Foundation funded Industry–University Cooperative Research Center for Visual and Decision Informatics (CVDI) in 2015 and created the program’s first international site in Finland with TEKES financial support. Within CVDI, academics and industry from the USA and Finland collaborate in high level joint research benefiting both countries. This collaboration is a direct, concrete and successful execution of the bilateral Agreement Relating to Scientific and Technological Cooperation between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of the Republic of Finland, signed on the 16th of May, 1995[1].
